Sarah Bourdon

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and a BC Certified Teacher and School Counsellor. My passion is providing support for children, youth, and families experiencing anxiety, worry, and/or social struggles at school or in the home. I work with families to build balance, support, and connection for children as they move through their active lives. I believe that the whole family should be involved in the health and wellness of the child. My experience as an elementary and secondary school counsellor has given me unique insight into the academic and social-emotional world of children in the school system. I am well-versed in the BC school curriculum and the complexities of the school system, having worked as a teacher and a counsellor in diverse schools, including inner city schools and fine arts programs. I am also passionate about the health and wellness of expecting parents and those new to parenthood. Many expecting and new parents experience prenatal and postpartum anxiety and depression. I provide counselling support aimed at enhancing coping skills and cultivating support networks.
