Dr. Frank McDiarmid has greater than 25 years in full-time clinical practice, with an emphasis on injuries resulting from rear (and side) impact motor vehicle collisions occurring at less that 40 km/h (25 mph), which constitute ~70% of all ICBC bodily injury claims. He is certified in Crash Reconstruction through Northwestern University (Chicago, Illinois). He received Advanced Certification in Whiplash Biomechanics from the Spinal Research Institute of San Diego, with additional training through UCLA. The number one reason collision related injury cases fail in court, or get minimal payout outside of court, is the inability to link the specifics of the collision to the specifics of the injuries. Having been formally trained in crash related biomechanics and crash reconstruction has allowed Dr. McDiarmid to be qualified as an expert in BC Supreme Court allowing him to testify about all aspects of collision related injuries, beyond just the injuries themselves.
