Tui Na Chinese Massage

Tui Na Chinese Massage is based on the principles of classical Chinese acupuncture and martial arts dating back over 2,000 years. The soft tissue massage techniques combined with the stimulation of acupuncture points stimulates the flow of Qi and allows the body to heal itself naturally.

In a typical session, the client wears loose clothing and lies on a floor mat or table. The practitioner focuses on specific painful areas, acupressure points and muscles and joints. Treatments last 30 minutes to one hour. The Tui Na practitioner uses his or her fingers, palms and knuckles in a variety of movements including cupping, tapping, kneading, pinching, pulling or dragging, and rhythmic pressing. Advanced Tui Na practitioners may also add external herbal poultices, liniments and compresses.

Regular Tui Na treatments enhance the immune system, general well-being and health.  A wide variety of conditions respond well to Tui Na, including: stress, anxiety, depression, sports injuries, multiple sclerosis, arthritis, back pain, sciatica, migraine, asthma, and much more.
