Extremity Joint Adjustment

Extremity joint adjustment refers to chiropractic adjustments on joints other than the spine. The goal of adjusting extremities is to restore alignment of the joint to allow normal and proper function.  This is a complimentary treatment to spinal adjustments. Subluxations that occur along the spine can also occur in the extremities.  Like the spine, these subluxations can also cause chronic problems.

Symptoms of extremity subluxations or joint problems include chronic back pain, stiffness in joints, fatigue or pain in the joints, and chronic cervical problems. Joints typically treated include the ankle, knee, shoulder, ribs, jaw, feet, hands, hips.

When chiropractic treatment is applied to the extremities, inflammation can be reduced and range of motion improved.
