MedX Low Level

Med-X Soft Laser Therapy also known as, Low-Level Laser Therapy, uses low-level lasers that stimulate tissue repair. These lasers use sub-thermal (cold) light energy on a specific wavelength to reach deep within the tissue. Since this wavelength is monitored and controlled, the intensity is at a specific dose to treat the tissue damage but remain painless. The light energy is absorbed in various tissues in the body and is transferred into biochemical energy. This Laser Therapy decreases swelling, accelerates healing time, and increases pain threshold. With the increase in pain threshold it allows the body to tolerate manual therapies, such as Active Release Techniques.

This laser theory was first described by Albert Einstein, who introduced the idea of therapeutic lasers. However, it was not until 1962 when the first low level therapeutic laser was developed. By the end of the 1960’s, Endre Mester in Hungary was documenting improved healing through the low level laser radiation. Since that point, low level laser has been used to help people of all ages.

Low-Level Laser Therapy is very safe, and has been proven very effective in treatments such as osteoarthritis, muscle strains, migraine headaches, and more. This therapeutic alternative eliminates the need for surgeries and drug therapies which can cause harmful side effects.
