Applied Tensegrity

Applied Tensegrity is used to maintain ease and fluidity in the body by working directly on the tension and integrity of the fascial system. Fascia is the fabric of the body that holds everything in the its proper placement.  Applied Tensegrity uses a combination of massage therapy techniques that target the different layers of fascia in the body.

An Applied Tensegrity practitioner uses a subtle touch that works deep into the fascia of the body, targeting the body as a whole rather than isolating parts. Applied Tensegrity principles can be integrated with common massage techniques to provide longer lasting results. The effects of Applied Tensegrity will often be felt in the days follow the treatment and not necessarily directly after. Although, a feeling of lightness, increase mobility, relaxation and decreased swelling are often immediately detectable.
